She asked if we could have a tea party. I said yes and upgraded it. ✨

Mother’s Day weekend at Medals & Tiaras looked a little different this year — and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it.

Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons

The Saturday before Mother’s Day, I took my older daughter Charlene to Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons Orlando. She wore a lavender tulle ballgown with floral embroidery and carried her own sparkly little purse. I wore a brown gingham print dress with pearl earrings. We matched the energy of the occasion perfectly.

She held that teacup with both hands like it was the most important thing in the world. I’ll never forget it.

The tea spread was stunning — a gold bird cage stand with petit fours and scones, window light flooding the table, and the most beautiful setting I could have asked for. We talked about princesses, pretended we were at a royal tea, and she drank her tea with the kind of joy that only a little girl can have.

Then she discovered the grand staircase in the Four Seasons lobby.

She descended those stairs like she was born for this moment. 👑

The chandelier. The marble steps. The iron railing. She posed on those stairs like she had been waiting her whole life for exactly that moment — and honestly? She kind of had.

Mother’s Day Morning: 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian

Mother’s Day morning started at church with both my girls dressed to the absolute nines. Then we headed to breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — and it did not disappoint.

I wore my pink striped dress with the pink bow and headband. Both girls came in their princess gowns. We walked into that restaurant and felt every bit like royalty.

When Snow White surprised us — Charlene was absolutely over the moon. 🍎

We were expecting Aladdin — and then Snow White walked in. The look on Charlene’s face is something I will carry with me forever.

The characters that morning were a complete surprise. Snow White visited our table, and Charlene immediately claimed her as her favorite. Snow White even twirled with both girls — spinning them around right there in the middle of the restaurant. Pure magic.

Mirabel was Noelle’s absolute favorite. When Mirabel came around, Noelle lit up in a way that only a toddler who deeply loves Encanto can. The joy on her little face was everything.

The restaurant itself is a dream — high ceilings, soft pink walls, beautiful murals, and a warm Victorian elegance that feels like a natural extension of the Grand Floridian lobby upstairs.

The Grand Floridian Lobby

After breakfast, we went up to the lobby for photos. If you haven’t stood under that chandelier, put it on your list immediately. The grand iron railing, the multi-story atrium, the warm glow of the chandeliers — it’s one of the most photographed spots in all of Walt Disney World for good reason.

Both girls in their princess gowns, me in my pink outfit — and the most iconic lobby in Disney World as our backdrop. Not a bad Mother’s Day.

They also got to sit inside one of the resort’s beautiful carriages for photos outside — the gold velvet canopy, the leather seats, the whole royal experience. Noelle leaned into my side like she owned the place. Charlene posed. They were completely in their element.

These are the princess miles that matter most. Not the ones measured in pace and distance, but in moments and magic.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mama living her own fairytale. ✨
